Yesterday we had our first ultrasound for Baby #2. The main things we learned were (1) that the baby is healthy and growing right on track, and (2) that it’s a girl!!!
We drove a whole hour south to Waldorf, MD in order for the ultrasound to be done using the new 3D/4D technology. Surprisingly, most of the scans were done with the old 2D technology which is still better for checking bone structure and taking measurements. Since there were no concerns that needed to be investigated, the 3D/4D technology was reserved mainly for surface scans of the baby.
Ellie and Ken’s parents were able to join us in the room and got to watch the procedure.
